Product Test Engineer
Position Overview:
Thomas Pump, a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium pump lines, seeks a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team.
As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting product development by conducting rigorous testing and research.
Your primary responsibility will be focused on the physical testing of pump performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of our core product line, including pump applications and pump systems.
Collaborate with departments such as Sales and Manufacturing to provide essential support and ensure a seamless testing process.
Manage and prioritize daily testing activities to effectively meet project deadlines and organizational goals.
Create and implement test procedures, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability in the testing process.
Utilize data acquisition software and hardware to collect and analyze test data, identifying root causes of potential issues.
Document technical issues and corresponding solutions, maintaining detailed records for reference and future improvement.
Apply your expertise in Fluid Mechanics to enhance the testing methodologies and contribute to product optimization.
Previous experience as a Test Engineer is a plus, bringing valuable insights and best practices to the team.

Experience:
Effective communication skills to document technical issues and solutions.
Previous experience as a Test Engineer will be advantageous in this role.
Proficiency in data acquisition software and hardware to conduct precise and accurate testing.
Solid understanding of Fluid Mechanics principles and their application to pump systems.
Strong analytical skills to interpret test data and identify root causes of performance variations.
Position Type/Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Slidell, LA.
Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:
