The Nurse Practitioner assists clients and families in performing activities that contribute to recovery end/or optimal health for the individual. Major Duties:Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals.Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives.In collaboration with clients, families, and physicians, the Nurse Practitioner identifies self-care deficits, plans intervention designed to promote adaptive behaviors, and carries out medical management within the scope of Advanced Practice the admission, care and discharge of infants within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with the attending physician and other appropriate hospital personnel.In the event that recovery is not possible, the Nurse Practitioner provides a milieu that allows the individual to progress to a peaceful and/or dignified death.By utilizing the nursing process and through cooperative participation with the interdisciplinary health care team, these interventions are implemented with empathy, understanding, skill, and current knowledge.The Nurse Practitioner effectively maintains the standards of practice and standards of care.Also manages all assigned personnel, supplies equipment and promotes collaboration with physicians and other disciplines.Delegates responsibility to appropriate personnel, as well as, accepts delegated responsibility.Documents all aspects of patient care and maintains patient client parent education and instructions regarding treatments and procedures including pre/post hospital care as appropriate.Assist in providing staff education as deemed appropriate.Assist in the orientation and training of new personnel, student nurses, and serves as a preceptor when requested.Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Preferred:Minimum of one year experience in Neonatal ICU.MSN with one Year experience in advanced practice preferred. Advanced Practice RN licensure.Required:Basic nursing skills as delineated by the Louisiana Nurse Practice Act. Advanced assessment skills advanced skill level in performing technical procedures. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to teach/instruct clients/families in an effective manner. Ability to create safe/controlled atmosphere in a manner which is supportive/nurturing.Advanced knowledge of general nursing theory and practice. Competence in medication administration, Healthcare Provider CPR. Completion of unit specific Competency Evaluation during orientation and annually thereafter. Advanced knowledge of-base in accordance with the Advanced Practitioner of Nursing: primary Nurse Associate within the Louisiana Nurse Practice Act.Graduate of an NLN accredited RN program. Must be currently licensed in the state of Louisiana.Graduate of a certificate or MSN program as a Nurse Practitioner. Licensed in the state of Louisiana as an Advanced Practice RN.A minimum of one year experience in Neonatal ICU. Must be licensed in the state of Louisiana.Licensure/Certification:Preferred:Advanced Practice RN licensure. Required:Must be currently licensed in the state of Louisiana.Graduate of a certificate or MSN program as a Nurse Practitioner. Licensed in the state of Louisiana as an Advanced Practice RN.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
