Responsible for preparing and serving patient and cafeteria food with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, following established food production programs and procedures.Responsible for cashiering in the cafeteria and sanitation activities, including dishwashing, warewashing, equipment cleaning and janitorial tasks.Major Duties:Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals.Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives.Sets up stations with breads, beverages, condiments, disposable plates, china and utensils.May start, serve and restocks tray line.Stocks and cleans cafeteria beverage machines, brews coffee and tea, fills bottled soda machine.Lifts and moves supplies, aiding in filling and delivering floor stock supplies.Delivers patient carts to nursing units, passes and picks up patient food trays.Breaks down patient trays, washes dishes, trays, utensils, etc. Clean and sanitize work stations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.Runs cash register following hospital and department guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the be able to read, write and perform simple math.Previous experience preferred and high school diploma or GED.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
