The Registered Nurse effectively maintains the Standards of Practice and Care.Utilizing the nursing process, provides nursing care based on recognized professional and legal standards of practice and promotes collaboration with physicians and other disciplines. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Assesses/reassess patient s condition based upon observation of patient and interview of patient and/or family, physician s diagnosis and data, diagnostic results, and relevant data from other healthcare providers. Delegates patient care assignments, evaluates and verifies validity of clinical findings and documentation for the Licensed Practical Nurses. Documents all aspects of patient care and maintains patient records, including but not limited to, Core Measure and National Patient Safety Goal compliance. Provides patients and family members with relevant healthcare education and instructions regarding treatments and procedures including pre/post hospital care as appropriate. Assists in the orientation and training of new and tenured personnel, reassigned nurses, student nurses, patient care assistants, and faculty; serves as a preceptor when requested. Evaluates and updates Nursing Care Plan for each assigned patient once per shift, or with each change in patient status. Floats to assigned unit(s)/departments as needed. Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Attends unit meetings as scheduled. Complete all mandatory and elective competencies and continuing education as required. Responds to internal/external disaster as directed.Participates in staff meetings, educational programs, committees, QI activities and mandatory in-services.Make patient rounds with physicians as required. Unit specific skills checklist and competencies completed prior to the end of 90 day evaluation.Other duties as year Telemetry or Medical Surgical nursing experience.AD from an accredited program for nursing education:Current knowledge of the nursing role and scope of practice as defined by the State of Louisiana Nurse Practice Act and the Louisiana Board of Nursing.Current knowledge of American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics.Knowledge of current trends and demonstration of standards of care in assigned unit.Successful completion of mandatory requirements including unit proficiencies/competencies.Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication.Demonstration of positive customer service.Required:Graduate of an NLN accredited RN program. Licensure/Certification:Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana.Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS). ACLS preferred within the first year of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
