Job Details:
Desktop Technician for multi-location, multi-specialty healthcare center will ensure that desktop software is installed properly and kept up to date. Effectively communicate technical information in laymen terms to non-technical personnel. Input support requests in database for tracking and documentation purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
Works with clinical and business office staff to maintain electronic medical records software
Ability to diagnose issues, install updates and customize Windows desktop systems in order to meet company requirements
Install and maintain computers and peripheral equipment, such as scanners, monitors, printers, copiers and projectors.
Implements updates and changes in software, documents associated procedures, and trains users on utilization of software to advance quality, efficiency and reporting of patient care and outcomes
Experienced in a terminal server environment
Troubleshooting Voice over IP, traditional analog phone systems and mobile phones
Consistently complete assigned project tasks on time.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
2 years or greater of full time IT work experience in a similar position preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Microsoft Office Specialist and/or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification preferred.
Proficient with desktop operating systems, including installing, upgrading, and repairing desktop applications required.
Hardware experience with troubleshooting internal components of a PC.
Some experience in Network hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance preferred
Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems preferred
Has met all pre-employment requirements for an employee of AHL.
Reliable transportation required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High level of ethics in maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.
Knowledge of mobile phone Operating Systems to customize and configure for employee s use.
Knowledge of network cabling specifications and requirements
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to master new technologies and instruct others on its use.
Excellent analytical, technical, verbal & written skills
Ability to assist co-workers in improving efficiencies. Ability to train users in computer procedures.
Able to multitask without degrading work quality.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stands, bends, sits and walks most of the day. Occasional climbing and crawling involved.
Ability to adapt well to change.
Ability to work closely with co-workers.
